If you are like most people with Comcast Internet, you were (some time ago) defaulted into the Xfinity internet package (12MB/s download speeds) for ~$45 per month. However, if you don’t have a need for high bandwidth transfers, you can call and downgrade to economy internet (1.5 MB/s downloads) for about $29 per month. I have been on this plan for several months now and have been running standard Skype video chat as well as accessing work files without any (speed related) issues, other than the slower file transfer rate for downloading/uploading large files. I also downgraded my cable TV to economy. I lost several channels, but all together my monthly bill went from $102 to $60 per month.
